After much anticipation, a popular pizzeria chain is officially opening its doors in Prestwich this weekend.
Rudy’s Pizzeria will be open from 12pm tomorrow (Saturday, November 30) to welcome visitors to the new branch, which sits in the heart of the town in the former Barclays Bank building on Bury New Road.
Beth Papalia, general manager, said: “I live in Prestwich and it’s a nice neighbourhood. It has good energy and is only 20 minutes from Manchester centre.

“We’ve been welcomed by the community and I hope we’ll fit in nicely among all the other lovely bars and restaurants.
“It’s good to have some representation in north Manchester now.”
Beth worked in the Sale branch for more than four years and is “looking forward to getting to know our new regulars here in Prestwich.”

Rudy’s quickly gained a cult following for its authentic Neapolitan dough and high-quality ingredients since first opening in Ancoats 10 years ago and the move marks theThe dog-friendly Prestwich location features a well-stocked bar including classic stirred cocktails and provides an extensive food menu, which also caters for vegetarians and vegan customers.

They also offer new specials every six weeks to keep things fresh.
The new branch has also created almost 40 jobs, including both front-of-house and pizzaiolo positions, which are being filled by people who live in the area.
This will be the brand’s 29th pizzeria in the country as it continues its mission to bring its well-loved neighbourhood concept to fans in Manchester’s suburbs.
