A woman went to Sweden to try the world's only ski through McDonald's - and says it was "worth it".
Olivia Foley, 21, booked a ski trip with her dad Andrew, 42, to the Lindvallen ski resort in Sälen after spotting a Tik Tok about the ski through McDonald's - 'McSki'.
Olivia and her brother Frankie, 17, flew from Manchester to Oslo, Norway where her dad picked them up and drove back to Drammen - where Andrew now lives.
Two days later they set off from Drammen and drove to the resort in five and a half hours.
They arrived and checked in at Hotel Älvdalen - a 40-minute drive from Lindvallen - and headed straight for the slopes and McSki.
Despite the long journey to try the only McDonald's of its kind Olivia said it was "worth it".
Olivia, an accountant, from Ormskirk in West Lancashire, said: "It was a mission to get to because my dad lives in Norway which was really helpful.
"I saw a video of someone skiing to find this McSki and me and my dad were immediately sold."
Olivia and her dad have been on ski trips together for the last seven years after Andrew, a lead project engineer, moved to Drammen, Norway, in October 2020.
When Olivia spotted the videos of the McSki in Sweden she knew she had to try it - and asked her dad to join her.
The family set off from Drammen, Norway by car for five and a half hours to the small town of Älvdalen, Sweden in February 2024.
The town has just 8,000 residents - and is known for its wacky shops and Rover estate cars.
Olivia said: "It was so deep into the forests - I felt so far away from home.
"The main form of entertainment was where people drive old Rovers blasting music.
"It holds a guitar museum which holds some of Elvis Presley's most famous guitars."
The family hit the slopes as soon as they arrived - trying out the Mcdonald's ski through.
Olivia said: "It was a normal standard McDonald. It was fairly busy inside. It's just a normal McDonald's but in the middle of a ski slope.
"There was a cool feature where it was a ski through and there is only one in the world.
"It was standard burgers nuggets and chips, but they didn’t have the extras like they do in the UK.
"We got a hot chocolate milkshake, the nuggets, chips, and a burger and it was the similar price to the price of the UK.
"The long journey was absolutely worth it and I would go back again."
