A teen's love for black pudding has earned him a special day out at his favourite company in Bury.

The Bury Black Pudding Company was moved by a message from Jessica and Mark Horseman about their son, Henry, 13, who is a huge fan of the food.

Henry loves the food so much that he researches it online and considers Sunday incomplete without it.

The company decided to make Henry's day by sending him a collection of branded merchandise and a "Golden Ticket" inviting him to visit the factory.

His mum Jessica said: "We had the most wonderful day at The Bury Black Pudding Company.

"It was so heart-warming how every single person we encountered was so lovely and attentive, Henry was made to feel so special.

"The Bury Black Pudding Company takes pride of place in Henry's room, and he has been talking about his visit non-stop to everyone.

"It was a day he will remember and treasure forever."

"Bury Black pudding is not just black pudding, there is usually a heart-warming and nostalgic story behind its heritage for everyone.

"We are humbled and incredibly proud of the passion Henry has for our company.

"It meant so much to us to ensure his experience was one he will always remember."

For Henry, this experience was the culmination of years of admiration.

As his parents describe, black pudding has become a significant part of his life.

Beyond his love for the product, Henry has shown remarkable courage, recently recovering from foot fusion surgery after a journey filled with hospital visits and treatments.
