An MP is hosting a dedicated surgery for domestic abuse victims.
Elsie Blundell, MP for Heywood and Middleton North, is organising the event for those needing support this November.
The surgery is scheduled for November 22, between 11am and 1pm, as part of the White Ribbon campaign, which encourages men to help create safe spaces for women and girls.
Ms Blundell said: "Being a victim of domestic abuse can feel like a very lonely place, as so much of it happens in secret.
"But we want women to know that there are people who care and are willing to help with specialist services."
The location of the surgery will remain undisclosed, with security measures in place to ensure the safety of attendees.
Ms Blundell said: "You must email my office first in confidence, and they will only make details available to genuine cases.
"The safety of my constituents is paramount."
Anyone wishing to attend or seek support should email elsie.blundell.mp@parliament.uk or call 01706 436329.
The White Ribbon campaign, which calls on men to actively challenge violence against women and girls, is supported by Ms Blundell.
She said: "Any violence is obviously wrong, and people feel uncomfortable when they see abuse happening in front of them.
"The purpose of the campaign is to make the abuser uncomfortable instead."
The campaign in Rochdale runs for 16 days and includes a procession to Rochdale Town Hall on November 25, as well as an awareness event in Middleton on November 26.
The campaign is coordinated in partnership with Rochdale Connections Trust and Women's Housing Action Group.
Ms Blundell also stresses that the surgery is open to all victims of domestic abuse, regardless of gender.
She said: "Domestic abuse takes many forms, including financial abuse, coercion, and control.
"It also isn't just felt by women and we encourage anyone who needs help, regardless of gender, to be in touch and seek specialist help."
