A farm shop is offering people free milky coffees tomorrow, (Tuesday), in return for them showing solidarity for the industry.
Park Farm in Ramsbottom is urging people to come along to the Manchester Road shop and tearoom wearing wellies to claim their free beverages as part of a wider national campaign supporting British farmers.
People up and down the country will be taking part in the ‘Wear Your Wellies’ stunt to show their support as independent farmers plan to protest and march through central London tomorrow (November 19).
Margaret Lees, 53, from Park Farm said: “We need people to support British farmers more than ever.

“This country has high welfare standards and we want to feed people and produce our own food here.”
The planned demonstrations are in response to the government's upcoming changes to how agricultural property is taxed.
She added: “Most farms are family-run. I grew up on a dairy farm in Walmersley and we are in the third generation here at Park Farm.
“The government doesn’t seem to understand how far-reaching the damage will be. So many small businesses are already going through hell as it is."
