A drunk yob from Bury assaulted three police officers before indecently exposing himself in the back of a force van.
Police were called in May this year after James Smith assaulted people at a gathering, prosecutor Tara Riley told Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
Smith had been drinking throughout the day before embarking on a violent rampage, the court heard.
When officers arrived, they tried to restrain Smith but he resisted arrest and spat and kicked at them.
Three officers were assaulted, and a spit hood was placed over his head.
When he was taken to the police van, Smith exposed himself indecently, the court was told.
Smith, 31, of Brandlesholme Road, Bury, appeared at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court after pleading guilty to three offences of assault, three offences of assaulting an emergency worker, one count of obstruction and one count of indecent exposure.
Defending, Richard Lees, said that Smith pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to all counts.
Mr Lees also said the defendant had a challenging childhood and was placed into care, was adopted and has no qualifications but he does have a labouring job waiting for him.
Judge Neil Usher said: “All these crimes were committed because you got drunk, and you are frequently unable to control your temper.
“Nothing seems to stop you from drinking and offending.”
Smith was sentenced to 14 months in prison.
