Bury held its Remembrance Day ceremony today as the country came together to honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The town came together today, November 10, braving the rain to pay its respects to the servicemen and women who have died in the line of duty.
A parade took place in the town centre, between 10.30am and 2pm, with attendees convening at the cenotaph and laying wreaths.
A service, conducted by Reverend Julian Heaton, was then held at Bury Parish Church.

Cllr Sandra Walmsley, cabinet member for communities and inclusion, said: “Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day hold a special place in all our hearts, as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country’s freedom.
"Bury is a proud borough filled with a rich military history that we continually work to support, remember and celebrate."
