An 80-year-old man suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car on Tuesday.
Police were called after a grey Nissan Qashqai struck a pedestrian on Higher Lane in Whitefield, near the junction with Dales Lane and Ringley Road, at 5.30pm.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are investigating and asking witnesses or anyone with information or video footage to come forward.
No arrests have been reported.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Police are asking for witnesses and anyone who may have information regarding the incident, to please get in touch.
"This includes anyone with relevant dashcam, CCTV, mobile, or doorbell footage from the area and captures any of the incident.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101 or 0161 856 4741 quoting log 2,532 of November 5.
"Alternatively, the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
