A charity has taken its members on an "exciting and memorable" weekend.

Jigsaw, based in Bury, aims to promote fun, freedom, and independence for disabled people.

The charity recently took 17 members and four group leaders on a residential trip to the Bendrigg Trust in Cumbria from November 1 to 3.

The adventure weekend was packed with various indoor and outdoor activities including climbing, abseiling, cycling, and archery.

The members also enjoyed a campfire, a sensory room, a disco, and a tube slide.

The trip was made possible by the Anton Jurgens Charitable Trust and the East Lancashire Masonic Charity, who granted £2,000 and £3,100 respectively.

One member of Jigsaw said: "It was lots of fun socialising with your friends and having a great time."

The charity offers sport and social opportunities for young disabled people aged 13 and above, helping them to maintain a healthy lifestyle and reach their sporting potential.
