Bury is hosting a series of events to encourage fostering.
These activities are part of Greater Manchester Fostering Fortnight, which runs until Sunday, November 17.
The campaign aims to dispel myths about fostering.
For instance, prospective foster parents are not limited by marital status or upper age limits.
Fostering provides children with a safe, familiar environment in a city or town they know.
People interested in fostering can attend several events in Bury.
On Tuesday, November 5, an event will be held at Ramsbottom Library from 11am to 2pm.
An online webinar will take place on Friday, November 8, from 1pm to 2pm.
To book a place, visit eventbrite.co.uk and search for Foster for your Local Council - Online Information Evening (North West).
On Wednesday, November 13, The Rock Shopping Centre will host an event from 11am to 3pm.
Another event will be held at The Rock Shopping Centre on Friday, November 15.
