A Bury school is asking people who have a connection with it to come along to join a special anniversary tour.
Chantlers Primary School in Elton will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next week and is hosting guided tours for past and present pupils, parents, staff and stakeholders.
The Foulds Avenue school has undergone big changes since opening its doors five decades ago, including a newly built resource provision for children with special educational needs.
Business manager Jo Windows said: “Now that we’re in our 50th year, our headteacher, Mr Barlow, thought it would be nice to do something to celebrate.

“The school has been developed a lot during that time such as a new school entrance.
"We’ve just had a new extension built and the whole front looks completely different.
“We’ve created a new provision to offer 12 places for children with special educational needs to support our local community.”
Former pupils at the school include Bury-born sporting siblings Tracey, Gary and Phil Neville, who have been invited to attend the tour.
The school was also rated "good" in its most recent Ofsted inspection, with reports stating that “pupils we spoke with said that they feel safe” and that they are happy to come in every day, learning from skilled and enthusiastic staff who know them well.

“There are a lot of chances to celebrate this week and we’ll be showcasing an art gallery of children's work.
“We’re not just focused on the academic side of education but giving our pupils a chance to access a holistic approach too. It’s about the whole child.”
The guided tours will take place on Monday, November 4 at 9am and 2.30pm.
There is no need to pre-book and there will be refreshments on offer.
