A borough man has gone viral after sharing a video of himself taking a spontaneous trip on a fairground ride after leaving the gym.
Cyle Mcgwynn, 22, from Whitefield, known as "CJ", is seen leaving JD Gym on Angouleme Way Retail Park in Bury on the footage and walking towards the car park, which is hosting a temporary fairground.
Facing the camera, he says, “I’m gonna go and have a go mate.”
Cyle then films himself riding alone on the Miami Trip, a long row of seats that move in a circular motion, while laughing and exclaiming “there’s only me on it".

Speaking to the Bury Times, Cyle said: “It was about 6pm, I’d just had a good workout and was in good spirits. I didn’t plan it at all, I just thought it was a good way to end the day.
“I didn’t expect too much attention when I first shared it to be honest. I was nervous to post it in case people thought it was stupid.
“I’d normally do stuff like this with my mates but never on my own. A lot of stuff on social media means you feel like you should act and be a certain way.
“There were lots of people saying it’s good to enjoy your own company and that it inspired them to do more things like this."
The TikTok video has attracted more than 133,000 likes and 18,000 shares since it was posted on Sunday night.

One commenter said “This video brings me endless joy” while another proclaimed “I love this! There is joy in spontaneity, there is joy in lone side quests!”

Others called it “inspiring” and encouraged Cyle to post a video of himself on the waltzers, to which he replied "coming soon" with a laughing emoji.
Cyle added: “After the feedback I got, I’d definitely encourage people to just be themselves.
“Live in the moment and share the positivity.”
