Drivers in and around Bury will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for in the next two weeks.

Four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 9pm tonight, Monday, October 28 to 5am on Wednesday, October 30, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 to junction 18 due to a lane closure for barriers. 

• M60, from 9pm on Monday, October 28 to 5am on Wednesday, October 30, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise, junction 19 to junction 20 due to lane closures and a slip road closure for carriageway reconstruction and renewal.

• M66, from 9pm on Tuesday, October 29 to 5am on Wednesday, October 30, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 2 to junction 1 due to a lane closure for barriers.

• A56, from 9pm on Sunday, November 3 to 5am on Monday, November 4, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound and southbound, junction 1 to bent gate due to a carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8pm on Tuesday, November 5 to 5am on Wednesday, November 6, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 18 to junction 17 due to a carriageway closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 9pm on Tuesday, November 5 to 5am on Wednesday, November 6, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 19 to junction 18 due to a carriageway closure for gantry.

• M60, from 8pm on Wednesday, November 6 to 6am on Thursday, November 7, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M62 westbound, junction 18 to M60 junction 16 due to a carriageway closure for structure and maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
