A Bury town centre car park is set for major upgrades, including new technology for easier access.
The Mill Gate Shopping Centre is introducing automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology, allowing for "streamlined entry and exit" from the car park.
Despite the rising cost of parking elsewhere, the Mill Gate is keeping its current parking fees and offering £1 all-day parking on Sundays.
These improvements come as the car park has also earned the Park Mark Safe Parking accreditation, ensuring a secure environment for shoppers.
Additional features include dedicated contractor parking spaces, electric vehicle charging points, and a commitment to "maintaining affordability" for visitors.
Shoppers can find more information on the availability of charging stations on the Mill Gate's website.
