A German-style celebration will be coming to town this weekend in an event that will allow people to "have fun while supporting a vital cause".
Radcliffe Market Hall will be hosting an Oktoberfest-style event from 5pm to 10pm.
The event will include a range of Bavarian cuisine, such as German sausages, pretzels, schnitzels, and other traditional Oktoberfest dishes from vendors.
Bavarian beer will be available, including the popular Bavaria Blondie from Brightside Brewing Company.
There will be live music from Paddy O’Hare, a local folk and blues tunes musician, and a charity raffle with a variety of prizes in aid of Trewan Sands Children’s Trust.
The market has teamed up with the trust, which supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families, to organise the event.
CEO of the trust, Louise Dawson, said: “We’re excited to bring the community together for this Oktoberfest celebration.”
“With free entry and a fantastic evening of entertainment, it’s a great way for everyone to have fun while supporting a vital cause.”
“We encourage people to book their tables early to avoid missing out as spaces are limited."
Based in Heywood, the Trewan Sands Children’s Trust provides holidays, activity days and day trips for terminally ill children up to 18 years old and their families.
Louise added: “Any money raised at Oktoberfest will go towards ‘memories to cherish'.
“This is our motto, as we create memories that are timeless treasures for families.”
