There will be seven road closures for Bury motorists to avoid on the National Highways network this week.

Three of them are expected to cause moderate delays, with drivers facing hold-ups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M66, from 9pm October 14 to 5am October 16, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 3 to junction 2 due to a lane closure for permanent barriers on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 9pm October 14 to 6am October 25, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise and anticlockwise junction 17 to junction 19 - M62 eastbound and westbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - M66 northbound and southbound, junction 4 to junction 3 lane closures and slip road closure for construction improvement/upgrade on behalf of National Highways.

• M66, from 9pm October 16 to 5am October 17, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 3 to junction 2 due to a lane closure for permanent barriers on behalf of National Highways.

• M62, from 9pm October 19 to 5am October 20, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M62 westbound, junction 19 to junction 18 due to a lane closure for permanent barriers on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 7pm October 20 to 6am October 21, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 18 to junction 19 due to a carriageway closure for electrical works.

• M62, from 9pm October 21 to 5am October 22, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M62 westbound, junction 19 to junction 18 due to a lane closure for horticulture on behalf of National Highways.

• M60, from 8pm October 25 to 6am October 26, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise junction 18 to junction 16 due to a carriageway closure for reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
