Bury-based business Rakem Group has become Bury Hospice’s first-ever silver patron.
We are truly grateful and excited to announce this milestone, which celebrates Rakem’s outstanding fundraising efforts for the hospice over the past few years, and their commitment to continue with this valuable support.
The Bury Hospice Patron Scheme invites individuals, groups, and companies to commit to financially support the hospice (over a three-year period) through one of our patronage strands, bronze, silver and gold.
As the inaugural silver patron, Rakem is playing a vital role in strengthening our ability to provide essential care to patients and support their family members – impacting local lives immensely.
Last week, members of the Rakem team visited the hospice to celebrate the presentation of the silver plaque.
They took a tour of the site and met with members of the hospice team.
As keen supporters of local causes, the Rakem team regularly participates in various hospice events, and recently some of their team members dedicated a day helping maintain our beautiful gardens.
Marketing manager at Rakem, Itza Castillo, said: “It’s a really special honour to have the opportunity to support the community we live in, it’s just good to give back and put in this effort as a local company.”
She added: “Coming in recently to help with the gardens as corporate volunteers gave us the chance to see how much work goes into running the hospice, and what it takes to be the light that makes people’s days a little bit better.
“What Bury Hospice does is all about the community, and it is a pleasure to support this.”
Rakem’s support for the hospice is inspirational and extensive.
Their contributions include raising crucial funds, volunteering, sponsoring events, and promoting awareness of our vital services.
Corporate fundraiser at the hospice, Nina Camplin, said: “Rakem is making an amazing impact on the larger community.
“By becoming the first silver patron, Rakem exemplifies how local businesses can demonstrate support and heartfelt community care.”
