A brewery which has strong borough roots has branched out to serve fashion "on tap".
Its founder Joseph Holt was from Unsworth and his son Sir Edward Holt moved into The Woodthorpe on Bury Old Road in Prestwich in 1884 with his young family before it was turned into a pub.
The brewery, which owns pubs across the region, has now launched a clothing line which champions its renowned northern heritage.
And the casual, comfortable range, which includes t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, is already proving to be a big hit.
Not least since many of the items display Holt’s "Unmistakably Northern" slogan.
The clothing range also includes t-shirts emblazoned with designs of historic beer mats as well as polo shirts celebrating the brewery`s 175th landmark anniversary.
And given that the brewery is based in Manchester there is also a sweatshirt featuring an embroidered Holt`s “Bee Glass”. This limited-edition striped glass, available on the Holt`s website, transforms into the "bee like" Manchester symbol when filled with golden ale.
The Unmistakably Northern slogan is splashed across the back of the sweatshirt alongside the Joseph Holt name and logo.
The family crest can be found on the inside of the neck.

Paul Longmire, marketing manager at Joseph Holt said that launching the clothing line tapped into the sense of regional pride many Northerners feel about their identity, culture, humour, and traditions.
Paul said: “This is the first time the brewery has launched a clothing line and we`re delighted that it`s proving to be such a great success.
"Joseph Holt ales are one of the great Northern brands.
"Our customers are fantastically loyal and love the heritage associated with the brewery.
"That`s now reflected in the popularity of the clothing range which champions not only our award winning ales but the heritage of the North.
“Joseph Holt also has a place in the heart of those who have moved away from the North or who have visited the area and are looking for a memento.
"Our clothing range means they can proudly display their northern heritage even if they are far away from home."
The range, made from Gildan cotton and blends, is competitively priced – with t-shirts costing £18 and sweatshirts from £27.
