Drivers in and around Bury will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for the next two weeks.

Two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are already in place:

• M66, from 9pm on Monday, September 23 to 5am on Wednesday, September 25, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions, junction 4 to junction 3 due to a lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M66, from 9pm on Monday, September 23 to 5am on Wednesday, September 25, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 2 to junction 1 due to a lane closure for permanent barriers.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 9pm on Friday, September 27 to 5am on Saturday, September 28, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 17 to junction 18 due to a lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm on October 3 to 6am on October 12, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 18 to junction 19 due to a carriageway closure for white lining/road markings.

• M60, from 8pm on October 7 to 6am on October 8, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 clockwise junction 16 to junction 18 due to a carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
