***Update: Monday morning's incidents have now cleared***
Drivers are facing delays in both directions following incidents on both carriageways on the M6.
Earlier today, one lane was closed due to a broken down vehicle between junction 23 and 22 southbound.
The vehicle has now been recovered and lanes reopened but there were still 10 miles of congestion backed up to junction 27 at Standish.
Motorists are also facing up to 45 minutes of delays, as well as a 50mph speed limit on the stretch already in force due to construction work.
