A school library has been refurbished, giving pupils a "fresh, welcoming space" for them to relax and read.
All Saints' CE Primary School in Whitefield has made sure the work was completed in time for the new academic year.

The refurbishment of the library was completed after fundraising by hardworking members of the parent teachers association (PTA).
A school spokesperson said: "We now have a fresh, welcoming library space where children can relax and engage in reading for pleasure.
"The children are loving the newly painted library wall with all their favourite book characters, lovingly painted by Mrs Loughran (PTA secretary)."
