A Bury church is resuming its lunchtime concerts for autumn.
Pianist, Marie Ratcliffe is set to take centre stage this Friday (13 September) at Bury Parish Church from 12:30pm.
Hosting some of the UK’s “most exciting musicians”, the weekly recitals will take place each Friday at the church, which is located on The Rock.
Born in Burnley, Marie was mesmerised by the piano from being five years-old and knew immediately that she wanted to learn to play.

Between the ages of eight-16 years-old, she had lessons from Mrs. Scott, whose daughter Kathryn Stott is “internationally recognised as one of Britain’s most versatile and imaginative musicians and among today’s most engaging pianists”.
During this time, the pianist was entered into music festivals and completed her studies at Blackburn School of Music, going on to teach music in schools and in the private sector.
As an adult, Marie took advanced lessons with Carrie Steingold and David Jones, both from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and started to give piano recitals.
