Power cuts have hit homes across Bury, Radcliffe and Ramsbottom this morning.
Electricity North West estimates that 287 households are currently without electricity and have confirmed that engineers are on site to fix the issue.
The electricity company says that the outages are due to fallen trees and other weather-related incidents causing damage to the overhead network.

Power is estimated to be restored by between 13:39 – 18.30 today (Friday, August 23).
In a statement on its website, the company said: “This power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident with the underground cable that provides electricity to your home or business.
“We didn't know before your electricity went off that this was going to happen but now we know, rest assured we will get your power back on safely and as quickly as possible.
“Please note that all our timescales are estimated based on previous experience and may change if new information becomes available while our engineers are fixing the issue.

“With underground power cuts, we may need to dig to repair the cable and this can sometime extend the length of time you are without power.”
Tree branches and debris caused widespread damage across the North West, bringing down overhead power lines as wind speeds hit more than 70mph in some areas.
Using its automatic restoration systems, Electricity North West restored power to close to 15,000 properties in the region.
When it was safe to do so, engineers were dispatched and are now working to restore power to the remaining 3,000 properties.
Impact has largely been across Lancashire with some damage in Cumbria and Greater Manchester.
Electricity North West incident manager Richard Moulton said: “Despite the very challenging conditions which saw strong winds and heavy rain hit the region, we’ve already been able to make some good progress.
“We were well prepared in advance and drafted in teams of engineers who were able to respond first thing this morning.
“Conditions are now starting to ease and teams are tackling faults that have been caused by trees and branches landing on overhead lines.
“If you see lines down or damage to any of our equipment, stay well clear and call us on 105 so we can make the area safe.”
