Bury's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
Three of them are expected to cause moderate delays with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure is already in place and is expected to carry on this week:
• M60, from 9pm on August 5 to 5am on September 21, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 northbound, junction 4 to junction 3 due to a carriageway closure for drainage.
A further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M66, from 8pm on Wednesday, August 21 to 6am on Thursday, August 22, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 both directions, junction 2 to junction 4 due to lane closures for an inspection and survey.
• M66, from 8pm on Tuesday, August 27 to 6am on Wednesday, August 28, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 both directions junction 1 to junction 3 due to a lane closure for switching for signs and maintenance.
