There was a large emergency presence on Bury Old Road in Prestwich after a crash last night (Sunday, August 18).
The crash, which is said to have involved four vehicles, occurred near Tesco at approximately 8.20pm.
There were cordons in place on both sides of Bury New Road and J17 of the M60 was closed off for a period of time.
One onlooker said they heard sirens and a helicopter.
Another said they had seen “about 10 police cars, tactical aid units and a helicopter.”
Videos taken at the scene showed police in attendance and debris in the road including a traffic light.
Two vehicles could be seen behind the cordon, one of which was badly damaged.
The AA shared that the exit ramp on M60 anticlockwise at J17 (A56) was closed last night due to “emergency repairs”.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) have been contacted for comment.
