Bury's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network in the next two weeks.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M60, from 9pm on August 5 to 5am on September 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - carriageway closure for drainage.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A56, from 8pm on Friday, August 16 to 5am on Saturday, August 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M66 northbound, junction 1 to junction 1 - carriageway closure for white lining/road markings.
• M66, from 9pm on Saturday, August 17 to 5am on Sunday, August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 both directions junction 1 to junction 2 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.
• M60, from 9pm on Saturday, August 17 to 6am on Sunday, August 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 17 to M62 Birch Services - carriageway closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
• M62, from 8pm on Monday, August 19 to 5am on Tuesday, August 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M66 southbound, junction 3 to junction 4 - lane closure for communications.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
