Police have tragically found a body after reports of a missing Bury man from earlier this week.
Tomasz Swietek, aged 45, had not been seen since August 1, leaving Salford Royal Hospital at 4.15pm before later being seen on Centenary Way in Eccles at around 6pm.
Mr Swietek, who is said to be from the Prestwich/Higher Broughton area, was then believed to have been close to the Lighthouse Church at around 9.55pm.
Now, officers searching for the missing man have reportedly found a "body of a man".
His family are being supported, but GMP stresses that formal identification has not yet taken place.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers searching for missing Tomasz Swietek sadly found the body of a man earlier today.
"While formal identification has not yet taken place, his family have been informed and are being supported at this time.
"Thank you to everyone who has shared our appeals."
