A teenager from Bury has won the title of Miss Teen Greater Manchester and is a finalist in the grand final of Miss Teen Great Britain 2024.
Apeksha Deekiriwewa, 18, from Bury competed alongside hundreds of teens across Greater Manchester and Great Britain to make it to the final.

She said: “I’m incredibly honoured to have won the Miss Teen Greater Manchester title and couldn’t be happier and grateful for represent Greater Manchester for Miss Teen Great Britain finals.
“This experience has been truly enriching and I can’t wait to see what this year holds for me.”

The grand final will be held on Sunday, October 13 at The Globe Theatre in Blackpool.
The winner will walk away with some incredible prizes which include a cash prize of £1,000, £350 to spend at The Dress Studio and a sparkling sash and crown and beauty treats from Duncan and Patti of the UK Glam Squad.

In addition to her pageantry success, Apeksha has been involved in charitable work and she has initiated a non-profit organization called “Hope with Apeksha”.
She said: “I want to make a difference in the community and let people know that even your smallest gesture can change a life.
“A kind word, hug, act of love can brighten someone’s day. Encourage others. Be the light.
“Making it to the grand final is a dream come true and I’m manifesting to be Miss Teen Great Britain 2024!”
