Headteacher Dean Watson said: “We are exceptionally proud to have achieved such a prestigious accolade.

“This award is testament to the hard work of our staff in ensuring that our students receive an excellent education that prepares them for life after school.

“At Woodhey, we place a strong emphasis on academic success, but understand that to ensure students develop into rounded, respectful young people, a strong personal development offer is of equal importance to the academic offer, and we are delighted that the assessment visit and subsequent award demonstrates the success of this approach.”
