Families are deep into the school summer holidays, but there is still some time left to go.
If you are looking for ways to entertain kids then here are six events taking place across the North West.
1. Jurassic World: The Exhibition
Where? Trafford Centre, Overflow Car Park 7
Recommended for children (and adults!) of all ages to get face-to-face with the dinosaurs inspired by the famous film. An experience like no other, visitors can learn the science, get up close to the life-size dinosaurs and walk alongside them. Free entry for children under the age of 3.
2. Bluey’s Big Play
Where? The Lowry
A 50-minute theatre show of the popular children’s television series ‘Bluey’. A play suitable for all ages and encouraged to be enjoyed by the whole family! Tickets available until Sunday the August 11.
3. The Blackpool Tower Eye
Where? Blackpool Tower
With standard entry you can be taken 380ft into the air at the very top of Blackpool Tower, enjoying and taking in the views of the North West. If you have any daredevils in the family be sure to have a go on the Skywalk that looks out onto the Irish Sea.
4. Hot Wheels City Experience
Where? Manchester B.E.C Arena
Taking place from August, until September 12, this is the first-ever European venue to showcase the experience. It includes full-sized cars, a design centre, a digital paint workshop, immersive museum, gamer zone and a play centre.
5. Dino Fun World Where?
Witton Park, Blackburn
‘An unforgettable day of prehistoric fun’ running from August 15 to 18. Tickets are £3 per person for an all-day access. Not only will there be dinosaur walkabouts with puppet shows, trails, a dinosaur nursery and museum tent but also rides and inflatables.
6. Enchanted Garden
Where? Brockholes Nature Reserve, Samlesbury
On August 8, children can explore the enchanted world by following a hidden trail and immersing themselves into the magical world of their imagination. This includes the use of art and materials with crafts and activities.
There are also other events taking place at Brockholes Nature Reserve throughout August such as: Stone Age Survival on August 15, Wildlife Superheroes on August 20 and Teddy Bears Picnic on August 30.
