A Bury cinema is set to screen some family favourites over the summer holidays.

Vue Bury at The Rock Shopping Centre welcomes families to enjoy animated favourites like Despicable Me 4 and Inside Out 2.

Among the highlights, Gru and the Minion crew are back in "Despicable Me 4" where the reformed villain faces new enemies Maxime Le Mal and his partner Valentina.

Promising more Minion mayhem and laughter, the film is on screen now.

Unlike every other summer, Inside Out 2 makes a return nearly nine years after its heartwarming debut.

The sequel reunites us with the emotions of Riley’s mind - Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust - while introducing new ones as she enters teenage years.

Adding to the fun, old favourites like Garfield, IF, Kung Fu Panda 4 and Little Monsters are being shown again as part of Vue’s Mighty Morning screenings.

Tickets for these morning shows can be purchased from £2.49 online.

Vue’s newly introduced family offering, dubbed Big Shorts, brings back beloved children’s characters from popular TV shows and web series.

The adorable Gruffalo's Child and bustling Zog and the Flying Doctors are among those returning.

Online ticket prices for the Big Short screenings start from £3.99.

Sharon Harris, general manager at Vue in Bury, said: "We’ve got a great selection of new films and big screen entertainment on show, offering a perfect way to enjoy quality family time while school is out for the summer.

"With film screenings from just £4.99, the big screen experience at Vue is the perfect treat during the half term break.

"Even better, our Vue Mighty Mornings at 10am, will continue to show the latest kids’ films from just £2.49 a ticket if purchased online and £3.49 in venue.

"Parents and children can come along, immerse themselves in great stories and switch off."
