A total of £5,500 was raised for Bury Hospice after a music festival took place in memory of an "incredible" landlady.
Simply The Fest was held at Walshaw Sports Club in April in memory of Susan Joyce, who died of cancer last year and was landlady of The Swan Hotel on Tottington Road in Bury.
Susan was given support from the hospice and the event was organised by her son Ryan to give back to the charity.
The fundraiser's leading sponsors, Cosalea Café – Bars and Caterers and Fired Paint A Pot Café, along with 15 music artists also volunteered.
Ryan said: "I was overwhelmed by the amount we raised. £5,500 far exceeded my expectations, and it’s a testament to the incredible person my mum was and the many lives she touched.
"We couldn’t have achieved this without the support of local businesses, our headline sponsors, and the amazing artists who performed on the day. We are excited to make this an annual event."
Simply The Fest, named so because of Susan's love for Tina Turner, is set to be an annual event.
Cllr Luis McBriar, who attended the event, said. “It was fantastic to see so many people attend the brilliant Simply The Fest at Walshaw Sports Club.
"Bury Hospice touches the lives of so many people in our community, every penny raised will go towards helping them to continue their vital work. Sue was a much-loved lady in our community.
"The amount of people who attended the festival was testament to how much she meant to people, and I want to pass my congratulations onto Ryan and the organisers and look forward to next year’s Simply The Fest.”
