We are very pleased to announce that our wonderful Forget-Me-Not appeal raised more than £17,000 in funds.

The appeal, which was sponsored by Silletts Funeral Service, was a perfect way for people to pay a lasting tribute to their loved ones.

Each dedicated "forget-me-not" tells its own story, and when displayed collectively, they formed a powerful display of love and remembrance.

Many people came to view the stunning flowers, which were planted around the pond at the front of the hospice grounds.

The handmade forget-me-nots were a core feature of the gardens, glimmering in the sunlight and causing passers-by to stop and take a closer look.

They also went down very well with the visiting Royal Horticultural Society judge who recently came in to assess our gardens (as part of our entry into this year’s North West in Bloom competition).

We couldn’t have been more proud of the stunning display, which stood out as a celebratory marker of the special ones no longer here with us.

Now that the display (held from June 12 to 23) is over, the keepsake flowers are situated in hundreds of homes across Bury, placed upon mantelpieces, and planted in back gardens.

Individual giving fundraiser Lisa Schofield said: “Our hope was that our first Forget-Me-Not appeal would help our supporters to remember and celebrate the lives of their loved ones in the best way possible, as memories are part of what makes life special.

“We are glad that the beautiful forget-me-nots did just that.

"I would like to take the time to say thank you to our sponsor, Silletts Funeral Service, and everyone who purchased a poignant flower or donated to the appeal, making the tribute display a beautiful success.”
