Bury's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network in the next two weeks.
And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures started yesterday, Monday:
• M66, from 8pm on Monday, July 8 to 6am on Saturday, July 27, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M66 both directions at junction 2 to junction 4 for a carriageway closure for inspection and survey.
• M60, from 9pm on Monday, July 8 to 6am on Monday, July 15, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M60 both directions at junction 17 to junction 19 for a carriageway closure for construction improvement/upgrade on behalf of National Highways.
And there are three more closures due to start over the next two weeks:
• M60, from 8pm on Saturday, July 13 to 6am on Sunday, July 14, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 anti-clockwise at junction 19 for a carriageway closure for electrical works on behalf of National Highways.
• M60, from 9pm on Saturday, July 13 to 5am on Sunday, July 14, moderate delays of 10-30 minutes: M60 both directions at junction 16 to junction 18 for a carriageway closure for communications.
• M66, from 8pm on Friday, July 19 to 5am on Saturday, July 20, slight delays of under 10 minutes: M66 northbound at junction 3 for a lane closure for horticulture.
