A leading homeware retailer has launched an appeal aiming to help schools and nurseries in need this summer.
Dunelm in Radcliffe has launched its "Delivering Joy Local Schools Appeal" and are calling out to customers to support schools in need by donating essential supplies.
The community-focused campaign builds on the success of Dunelm’s annual Christmas Delivering Joy campaign which last year saw customers generously donate over 125,000 gifts to local communities across the UK.
Now extending into the summertime, they are appealing to Radcliffe residents for their support.
Radcliffe’s Dunelm branch is calling on customers to donate much-needed items, such as stationery, books, toys, puzzles, outdoor games and art materials.
Customers can participate by simply bringing their contributions to their local Dunelm store and placing them into the designated collection trolleys before Thursday, July 18.
The trolleys will then be distributed directly to local schools to ensure that the supplies are delivered and ready to go ahead of the new school year starting.
Paul Sullivan, head of circular communities at Dunelm, said: "We are thrilled to have launched our Delivering Joy Local Schools Appeal for the first time - particularly after the incredible impact that the Christmas Delivering Joy campaign has had over the past four years.
“We're already seeing communities across the country getting involved and can't wait to see all the generous donations put to good use.
“After being placed into our in-store trolleys we'll be taking all contributions directly to the schools in need."
