A family festival with a host of live music returned to town at the weekend.
Tottington's Big Day Out took place at Crompton Meadows on Beryl Avenue from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday with six bands entertaining the audience.
I Am Gallagher, Well Said, LA 82, The Sprats, Billy Moon and Jersey Coasters showcased their musical talent.
Early rainfall threatened to put a dampener on the day, but the crowds were not to be put off, turning up in their thousands to enjoy the diverse music acts, the stalls, bars and a range of food outlets.
There was also a "kids zone", featuring a bouncy castle, playground and hook-a-duck, will be set up too.
Organiser Scott Parkinson said: "Setting up for the festival in the rain is really quite stressful but everyone just had a collective belief that it was going to be OK.
"The bands were really good this year and we have had some great feedback on social media about the day as a whole."
The festival also praised volunteers as well as the community for turning up to support the event.
Scott added: "Massive thanks to everyone who helped 'get it on' and clear up afterwards - and a special thanks to the community for turning up and supporting and making it once again Tottington's Big Day Out!"
