An indie band will be performing in Bury next week as they celebrate the launch their new album.

The Rifles will be playing at The Met theatre on Tuesday, July 9 following the release of their album Love Your Neighbour, which will be released on Friday, July 5.

The new record includes the single, The Kids Won't Stop.

The Market Street theatre will be teaming up with record shop cafe Wax and Beans as part of the event.

The partnership is working as part of a "campaign to bring established bands to Bury as they try to secure chart success".

It has been more than seven years since the The Rifles, who hail from east London, released their last record.

Their previous two albums, Big Life and None The Wiser, achieved their highest chart positions while they have continued to sell out shows across London.

Love Your Neighbour has been acclaimed as an album which "bursts with the traits that have inspired such devotion among fans".

Its songs are "gritty as they are anthemic, and full of lyrics which capture broadly relatable experiences and provide evocative snapshots of modern British life".
