Traffic restrictions have been earmarked for a village road - to keep a bus stop clear of cars.
Measures are proposed to stop cars from parking at the bus stop in Ainsworth, which is said to be causing problems.
The bus stop is located on Bury Old Road, just to the west of Tommy Lane and outside Ainsworth Methodist Church.
Parking issues have prevented buses from properly accessing the stop.

This is said to have caused issues for pedestrians trying to get on and off buses and for motorists trying to get round the bus when it is parked.
The Bury Council Traffic Management Unit is now proposing to introduce a 19-metre bus stop clearway which would indicated by yellow road markings clearly showing the restricted parking area and a ‘no stopping’ sign at the bus stop.

A new five metre bus stop border would also be installed with an existing bus stop pole on the pavement.
The markings and signage will mean that vehicles will be prevented from parking at the bus stop every day between 7am and 11pm.
Those who may be affected by these plans have until July 3 to submit any comments or concerns to traffic@bury.gov.uk.
