A fire broke out at a bungalow in Bury yesterday, Monday.

Three fire engines and an aerial appliance were called to the detached property on Walshaw Road at around 4pm.

The crews extinguished the flames and were in attendance for four and a half hours.

The cause of the fire is not known and no injuries have been reported.

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At just after 4pm on Monday, fire crews were called to reports of a fire at a detached bungalow on Walshaw Road, Bury.

“Three fire engines from Bury, Whitefield and Ramsbottom with the aerial appliance from Bolton Central quickly attended the incident and extinguished the fire.

“Crews were in attendance for around four and a half hours.”
