Police are investigating after a spate of robberies and attacks in Tottington.

The incidents, which were street robberies and assaults, happened on Friday, June 7 between 6pm and 8.30pm in the specific areas of Sawyer Street, Woodhill Road and the Kirklees Trail.

The offenders are described as a group of five to seven white and mixed-race teenage males, some wearing facial coverings and gloves and some not wearing a top.

The victims of the attacks are believed to have been targeted at random.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police Bury said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV, Ring doorbell or dashcam footage to contact DC Dave Potter on 0161 8568122 or by email 19123@gmp.police.uk.

“You are also encouraged to get in touch if you have any information relating to these incidents which may assist the police investigation. You can also share information anonymously with CrimeStoppers on or 0800 555 111.

“We understand that this may cause concern to local residents, but we believe this to be an isolated incident and we are working hard to identify all those responsible.”
