Young people from Tottington High School attended a performance masterclass last week with a home-grown musical legend.
Singer-songwriter Louise Marshall led the special class.

Louise is best known for appearing with Jools Hollands Rhythm and Blues Band and has worked with a multitude of renowned artists including Soft Cell, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Chaka Khan, Beverley Knight, Dionne Warwick and Tom Jones to name just a few.

The masterclass event involved over 100 students from Tottington High School, Westleigh High School in Wigan and Endon High School in Stoke.
The students participated in whole group vocal warm up sessions, sang their favourite songs accompanied by Louise on the piano.

The day culminated in a question-and-answer session on the music industry and Lousie performed her number one song, ‘Afraid to Feel’.
Damian Griffith, assistant headteacher at Tottington High School said: "Our students fully embraced this once in a lifetime opportunity.
“The power of music was in full display with students moving out of their comfort zone and uniting over music, it was a delight to witness."
