Receiving their ticket was intended to be a magical experience for the children and their families to mark a significant milestone in their life by starting school.
This milestone can bring mixed emotions for all involved and St Stephen's wanted to ensure that new families felt reassured that they were joining a school community where their children would flourish.

The Golden Ticket also provided important information for parents about transition days, meetings and open days alongside explaining that the school will be purchasing their child's first school jumper or cardigan as a welcome gift.
Headteacher Sally Denney said: "We wanted to do something really special to welcome our new families and show them just how excited we are for September."
A parent of a child who received a ticket said: "Thank you for her golden ticket in the post. She's very excited to start reception in September."
