A man has been arrested after a bike police chase in the borough.
Bury officers were out on patrol on their new Trek electric bikes today, Thursday, when they reportedly came across "some miscreants who were riding two motorcycles".
One of the vehicles was a Sur-Ron and the other was a 125 Benelli.
Police chased the Benelli, which cut through a cemetery before a suspect was caught on foot, officers said.
An arrest was made on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and failing to stop for police.

Sharing a picture on social media, a GMP Bury North spokesperson said: "Unfortunately for these individuals the town centre officers no longer require stabilisers so managed to keep up with them.
"A short pursuit took place with the Benelli 125 motorcycle and we were assisted by traffic officers from our Whitefield roads policing team.
"The rider decided to take a short cut through the cemetery but fell off at the sight of the officers keeping up with him on a bicycle.
"He was pursued on foot after falling off and was then arrested for theft of motor vehicle, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and failing to stop for police.
"His two friends who made off on the Sur-ron will be identified and arrested in due course also!"
