A number of Bury Market traders have found their new home in the Mill Gate Shopping Centre.
Eight businesses have set up shop following the closure of the indoor market last October after reinforced autoclaved concrete (RAAC) was identified in the building's roof.
Trader Steve Moloney, whose BBQ Barn business had been weeks away from financial ruin, was among those to relocate.
He said he was ‘more than happy’ with the move and praised the additional space and cooking facilities of the new premises.

Other traders who have made the move include Doll’s House, Terry’s Jewellers, RUFF Sports, MIA Menswear, Rachel’s Bags, Katsouris, CC House of Beauty, and Julie’s Elegant Nails.
Samantha Blackwell, who runs the Dolls House hair and beauty salon, praised the Mill Gate management team for their help and support.
She said: “The entire team at Mill Gate has been extremely helpful and did everything they could to ensure we were in and able to restart the business before Christmas.”

Centre Manager, Angela Tierney, said she was pleased to be able to work with the businesses and offer them a new home at Mill Gate.
She said: “Bury is a wonderful, close-knit community and we were only too pleased to be able to provide alternative premises for these eight traders.”

Since the RAAC discovery was made on October 26, surveyors reports suggested that repairs to the market hall could cost at least £6 million.
Bury Council are considering a number of options for the hall in the future.
