A Prestwich restaurant has helped to transform an old brick wall in the village with a colourful new mural.
The new artwork has been commissioned by The Pearl on Bury New Road, who has worked with art studio, Jive Prints, to renovate the space.
The brick wall, which adjoins the restaurant, has been rebuilt and splashed with colour. It has been painted on the newly built extension to the side of the restaurant, situated on Bury New Road.

Working together with Hollie Amber Webb of Jive prints, the inspiration behind the design came from ‘breaking bread’ and will feature an abundant picnic being shared between friends.
Sam Taylor, owner of The Pearl said: “We hope the artwork reinvigorates the gardens and encourages families and friends to meet up and enjoy the public benches throughout the summer - it’s a nice little sun trap in the heart of the village.
"The community helped us open the restaurant through a successful Kickstarter campaign, so it’s nice to be able to give back, we hope people like it!”
Earlier this month, they opened a Tuscan wine-window for residents to enjoy evening drinks at the community garden next door.

In the time since The Pearl opened, the team have been working hard to rejuvenate the council owned green space to the side of the restaurant; rebuilding an extension, planting flowers, maintaining the beds and regularly clearing up rubbish from the weekend to keep Prestwich clean.
It is a space that in recent times has been prone to graffiti, littering and anti-social behaviour, but the team behind The Pearl are trying to give it a new lease of life to put it back in the hands of the community.
