A number of people from Bury have recently been dealt with by the courts.

Magistrates have dealt with a variety of offences including drugs and motoring ones and threatening behaviour.

Jonathan Gibbons was threatening and abusive towards a woman in Bury in December last year.

He caused the woman to believe that violence would be used against her.

The 33-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

Gibbons, of Keswick Drive, Bury, was placed on a community order to last for a year and was ordered to do 40 hours of unpaid work.

Kate Winskill drove at more than three times the drink driving limit.

She drove a Toyota Aygo on Heywood Road, Prestwich, with 131 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

She admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

The 33-year-old was given a sentence of 10 weeks suspended for a year.

Winskill, of Cross Lane, Radcliffe, was banned from the roads for two-and-a-half years and ordered to do 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Nicholas Anderson was threatening towards numerous members of the public in Bury in January this year.

He led people to believe violence would be used against them.

The 34-year-old admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

Anderson, of Glebelands Road, Tottington, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

He was ordered to do 12 rehabilitation activity requirement days and was given a fine of £80.

William Roy was found with drugs on him.

The 21-year-old was found with MDMA in Bury in January this year.

Roy admitted the offence at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

Roy, of Dawson Street, Bury, was fined £40.

The court also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
