Firefighters have warned of the dangers of charging electric vehicles indoors after a fire caused "extensive damage" in a home in Bury.
Fire crews from Bury, Whitefield and Heywood were sent to a property on Pine Street at around 5pm yesterday, Wednesday.
Firefighters were in attendance for around two hours after a blaze was caused by an electric motorbike being charged incorrectly in the house's kitchen, the fire service said.
Crews used breathing apparatus and hoses while tackling the fire.
Extensive fire and smoke damage was caused to the kitchen and other areas of the house.

No serious injuries were reported.
Bury Fire Station watch manager Rick Taylor stressed the importance of correctly charging electric vehicles such as bikes as well as having working smoke alarms.
He said: "We have advice on our website on the dangers of charging electric bikes, you have to have the right kind of charger.
"You must not leave it unattended."

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) advise e-bike and e-scooter users to follow manufacturers' instructions when charging their vehicles.
They also say to ensure a smoke or heat detector is fitted in the room or garage where the vehicle is charging.
