Youngsters at a Bury school have brought to life a book to mark "Earth Week".
Pupils at St Stephen's CE Primary School on Colville Drive read Sarah Roberts' "Somebody Swallowed Stanley" and each class created a diary entry from a character in the story.
It tells the tale of carrier bag Stanley, who is dropped on the floor and then swept into the sea.
As he drifts through the ocean waves he is mistaken for a jellyfish and swallowed by a series of unsuspecting animals.
Early years foundation stage pupils performed the story, Year One wrote a diary entry as the Jellyfish, Year Two penned the Whale's thoughts and Year Three took up the Seagull's point of view.
Year Four pupils wrote the entry as Stanley, Year Five explained the Turtle's perspective and Year Six penned the Little Boy's point of view.
The week ended with a celebration assembly, where parents were invited to hear one child from each class read their diary entry.
It was said the week was a "thought provoking and enriching experience for our school community and really made us reflect on how even the smallest of actions and impact the earth in a big way".
