Families will be able to go on a weird and wonderful journey this Easter as classic tale Alice in Wonderland comes to life on the East Lancashire Railway (ELR).
The mesmerising setting of Wonderland will be captured in a mystial ride through the Irwell Valley from Bury to Rawtenstall and back in a steam powered train.
The event on Thursday, April 11 will feature the famous characters and include themed activities, alongside plenty of photo opportunities.

The Bury Transport Museum will also be open as well as food and drink being available from the café on Platform 3/4 at Bury Bolton Street Station.
ELR chairman Mike Kelly said: “Welcoming weird and fantastically wonderful endearing characters from Wonderland will be nostalgic and memorable for adults and children alike.
“East Lancashire Railway is the perfect setting for tumbling down the rabbit hole, with the scenic Irwell Valley and majestic trains and locomotives.
“Tickets are being snapped up, so any families who want to see fairy tales come to life should book soon.”
