A group of Travellers left a park car park yesterday, Sunday, after being served a notice.
A number of vehicles, caravans and vans arrived at one of the car parks of Nuttall Park in Ramsbottom on Thursday.
Bury Council issued a notice for the group to leave the land with Greater Manchester Police stating they have been told "they will be gone by Monday".
Last week, a spokesperson for the local authority said: “Officers have begun the legal processes required to remove them from the council-owned land they are occupying.”
And today, Monday, a council spokesperson confirmed the group left on Sunday, and its waste management team have been dealing with a site clean-up as well as resecuring a height barrier.
